About Us
Al Nahda National Schools (ANNS) was established in 1983 in Abu Dhabi as a private English medium school to provide an excellent international education through its American and British programs to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of all students. The School is licensed by the Abu Dhabi Department of Knowledge and Education (ADEK) and the UAE Ministry of Education and has two campuses (the Girls’ School and Boys’ School). A diverse student body of nearly 5,800 students benefit from our highly qualified and experienced faculty and staff and excellent facilities.

STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY

Al Nahda National Schools believe in providing an excellent international education through its American and British programs to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of all students and inspire them to become life-long learners. The school stresses academic achievement and believes in fostering the intellectual, physical, personal and social development of students in a supportive and caring multicultural learning environment.

Al Nahda National Schools aims to:
- To provide strong academic programs based on national and international standards that emphasize a broad foundation and depth of knowledge to prepare students for post-secondary studies.
- To provide students, through the curricula and co-curricular activities, with quality educational experiences which will enrich their lives and build the foundations for them to become productive and successful global citizens.
- To teach Muslim students about Islam, to promote moral values and mutual respect as the basis of all relationships.
- To offer students opportunities to develop research, creative, critical thinking and problem solving skills through 21st century teaching and learning.
- To develop in students a sense of citizenship, patriotism and appreciation of the UAE.
- To encourage, engage, and facilitate collaborative partnership with parents to synergize their positive involvement in the educational process of our students.

- To provide professional development for the staff, thereby contributing to the continuous improvement of the quality of education offered by the school.
- To enable all students to become successful, independent learners who enjoy learning and reach their full potential, offering support for students with learning difficulties and encouragement for gifted students.
- To ensure students develop the necessary ICT skills to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing, competitive global society and to promote engaging integration of ICT into the learning processes academically and extracurricular activities.

Cambridge Assessment International Education is the world's largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications for 5 to 19 year olds. Every year, nearly a million Cambridge learners from 10,000 schools in 160 countries prepare for their future with an international education from Cambridge.

SAT College Board
The American College Board (established in 1899) is a non-profit mission-driven organization that connects students to college success. The College Board develops and administers standardized tests and curricula to promote college-readiness and as part of the college admissions process. Every year, over 400 students from our Schools take the SAT and SAT Subject Tests through the College Board.
